Welcome to the website of the Institute of Applied Mechanics - a teaching and research unit of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Poznań University of Technology. The seat of the institute is in the Center for Mechatronics, Biomechanics and Nanoengineering. Our employees conduct teaching and research activities in the field of broadly understood theoretical and applied mechanics.
From 2020, the Institute of Applied Mechanics comprises four departments:
- Division of Virtual Engineering
- Division of Technical Mechanics
- Division of Vibroacoustics and Diagnostics of Systems
- Division of Strength of Materials and Structures
Currently, in the academic year 2023/2024, the Institute employs 46 academic teachers and 5 administrative and technical employees. Among academic teachers, 33 people are research and teaching staff, and 13 people are teaching staff. 1 employee has the academic title of professor, 13 habilitated doctor degrees, 27 doctoral degrees, and 5 master's degrees.
