RESEARCHERS OF THE PUT VISITED KARAGANDA

Karaganda State Technical University is a partner university of the Poznan University of Technology. Cooperation between universities is very fruitful and has been going on for several years.

From the 2019/20 academic year, the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan included the Poznan University of Technology, as the only university in Poland, in the "Visiting Professor" project. The initiative aroused great interest among scientists from the Poznan University of Technology.

This year, the beneficiaries of the project on behalf of the Poznan University of Technology were Dariusz Janiszewski, PhD from the Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence, Łukasz Warguła, PhD from the Institute of Machine Design and Łukasz Gierz, PhD from the Institute of Machine Design.

Scientists from the Poznan University of Technology visited the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Faculty of Transport and Construction Engineering of the State Technical University in Karaganda during a month-long scientific internship in September 2021.

They presented the university, Poland and the city of Poznan and conducted classes in their scientific fields. Classes were held in a hybrid form - stationary and online and were conducted in English. The diploma seminars for doctoral students and consultations of doctoral and master's theses enjoyed particular interest.

The cooperation of the employees of the Poznan University of Technology and the Karaganda State Technical University resulted in the creation of two scientific articles. The internship was a valuable experience, during which our employees had the opportunity to develop their skills related to conducting classes in English and expand their scientific competencies.

Free time was an excellent opportunity to get to know the rich culture and traditions of Kazakhstan. Thanks to the hospitality of KSTU employees, Polish visited the capital of Kazakhstan - Nur-Sultan, as well as Almaty, the Great Almaty Lake and the Sharry Canyon.
